The Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry Abdulla Azizov met with the executives of major pharmaceutical distribution companies in Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the ways to advance bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector in detail. In particular, the following items:
- Increasing the volume of trade in pharmaceutical goods between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan;
- launching joint pharmaceutical production projects in Afghanistan;
- Training personnel and exchanging experience;
- Implementing advanced technologies in the pharmaceutical industry were considered.
A familiarization tour was organized for the delegation to the major pharmaceutical enterprises of Uzbekistan. The guests got acquainted with the production processes, process lines, laboratory and control systems that comply with international GMP standards.
Afghan entrepreneurs recognized the rapid development of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry, the high quality of products and their high export potential. They underscored the high demand for Uzbek goods in the Afghan market and voiced their readiness to launch joint ventures as soon as possible.
