President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today received the president of the Russian oil company LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov, who is visiting Uzbekistan on a working visit, UzA reported.
During the meeting, the sides considered the progress of current and preparation of promising joint projects.
Particular attention was paid to new projects aimed at deep processing of extracted natural gas, as well as cooperation in the field of training highly qualified personnel for the industry.
Vagit Alekperov expressed his readiness to develop full-scale bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan in the oil and gas sector.
To date, the volume of investments by Lukoil in oil and gas projects in Uzbekistan is at $ 6.3 billion.
