Delegation of Hyundai Motor Group led by President Han Sung-Kwon will arrive in Tashkent on Tuesday, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said. The program of the visit includes meetings and talks in the government of Uzbekistan, Uzavtosanoat , as well as a number of ministries and departments.

Hyundai Motor Group is a South Korean multinational conglomerate headquartered in Seoul. It s the largest car manufacturer in the country and was the world's third-largest vehicle manufacturer by production volume in 2016,. The group was formed through the purchase of 51% of South Korea's second largest car company, Kia Motors, by Hyundai Motor Company in 1998. As of December 31, 2013, Hyundai owns 33.88% of Kia Motors. 

As reported earlier 1 to 50-ton Hyundai trucks, intercity and tourist buses, and special vehicles will be assembled in Namangan, with part to be marketed abroad. The project parameters are still being discussed. The deal on assembling of Hyundai trucks in Uzbekistan was reached during the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Seoul last November.
