Exports topped US$ 3.37 billion (decrease by 10.9%), and imports - US$ 4.76 billion (decrease by 9.7%), the trade deficit at 1.4 billion dollars.

Uzbekistan largest trade partners in Q1 were Russia (16.9%), China (16.8%), Kazakhstan (8.3%), the Republic of Korea (6.7%), Turkey (5.8%), Kyrgyzstan (2.3%) and Germany (2.1%).

“The coronavirus pandemic, which has now spread to almost all countries of the world, has led to a decrease in trade and the closure of state borders, which directly affects foreign trade and the standard of living of households,” the Committee said.
