Tashkent subway said it received delivery of three new trains on December 31. Reportedly, three new rolling stock (12 subway cars) were added to the subway car fleet on the holiday.
The received rolling stock will undergo technical testing for 9-10 days, and then will be put into service.
The Ministry of Transport reported in November that the total length of subway lines increased from 38 kilometers to 71 kilometers, with 36 trains were operating between 2017 to 2019, while their number was increased to 65 in the end of 2024. The Ministry unveiled plans to purchase another 26 modern rolling stock before 2026.
In addition, the possibility of paying with palm has been created at 12 stations, and the phase I of construction of toilets has commenced at 4 - Buyuk Ipak Yuli, Amir Temur Khyyoboni, Pakhtakor and Beruniy stations.
