Uzbek Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev attended a business forum held at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). The business forum was attended by more than 60 delegates of leather processing, pharmaceuticals, tourism, construction materials, agriculture, transport and logistics, wholesale, retail and other trades.

The event was opened by the President of the Chamber, Muhammad Javid Bilwani, who shared information about the current state of Pakistan-Uzbek trade ties and the KCCI's role in it.

Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev made remarks on the priority areas for stepping up bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation.

The pasrties agreed to organize a visit of a delegation of KCCI members to Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Syrdarya, Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent provinces in the second quarter of 2025 to develop specific business projects in the fields of textiles, pharmaceuticals, leather and wool processing.

Business leaders shared their thoughts and suggestions on measures to establish direct and systematic dialogue between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries, increase the number of products covered by the preferential trade agreement, and accelerate transit trade.
