President of Uzbekistan signed the Approval of An International Treaty Resolution on Wednesday. The resolution has approved the agreement, signed on April 3, 2015 in Tashkent between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the United States of America to improve international tax compliance and to implement the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, which introduce a reporting regime for financial institutions with respect to certain accounts.
The Foreign Ministry has been instructed to send has been instructed to send a notice on fulfillment by the Republic of Uzbekistan of the internal procedures, necessary for the entry into force of the said international treaty.
The Cabinet of Ministers and heads of relevant ministries and departments have been instructed, after the entry into force of this international treaty, to monitor performance of the obligations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the established procedure.
