Kirov Machine-Building Plant May 1 JSC will supply MPD-2 motor platforms to Uzbekistan. The platform is used in the construction, repair and maintenance of the 1435 and 1520 mm railway track.
The machine is designed to perform various shunting operations when laying new and disassembling railway track, as well as at shop for mechanized assembling and repair of rail and tie ready sections.
According to the Russian company, the platform is now being tested and afterwards it will be handed over to Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine JSC
Kirov Machine-Building Plant noted that the Uzbek company intends to purchase a batch of motor platforms. The parties have signed a protocol of intent.
