In January-September 2017, Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 5.3% compared to the same period in 2016, to reach 170.07 trillion soums.
According to the Statistics Committee, the volume of industrial output amounted to 99.06 trillion. soums, which is 5.6% higher than in the same period in 2016, production of agricultural, forestry and fisheries products - 46.19 trillion (+3.5% ), investments in fixed assets - 39.53 trillion soums, (+1%), the volume construction works - 25.17 trillion soums (+ 5.3%), freight turnover - 65.6 billion tons-km (+2.8%), passenger turnover - 83.3 billion soums (+ 4.9%), retail trade turnover - 76.35 trillion soums (+4.3%) and services 77.25 trillion soums (+ 6.9%).
