President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree approving the Employment Promotion Program for 2018. According to the decree, Uzbekistan plans to create more than 346.79 thousand permanent jobs.
In particular, more than 168.22 thousand jobs will be created through setting up of new capacities and expanding existing ones.
Through implementing investment projects at privatized enterprises, 19,99 thousand jobs will be created.
Over 46.6 thousand people will be employed at construction of affordable housing and engineering infrastructure, and 10.66 thousand - through the development of social infrastructure.
About 101.31 thousand jobs will be created through promotion of SMEs, as well as handicrafts.
