Uzbek Deputy PM/Chairman of UzbekNefteGaz Alisher Sultanov met with the Vice-President of LUKOIL Sergei Nikiforov in Tashkent, UzbekNefteGaz said.

The sides reportedly discussed the bilateral cooperation in 2017 and the issues of preparing the visit of LUKOIL President to Uzbekistan, the inauguration of the Kandym gas processing plant and payments for natural gas exports.

Discussing plans for the future, the sides agreed to hold the Kandym GPP inauguration ceremony in April 2018, timing it with the planned meeting of the LUKOIL Board of Directors in Bukhara.

Nikiforov noted that large scale works were completed in 2017, in particular, new operational facilities, including a 4.4 bcm gas treatment plant, gas pre-treatment unit and six gas gathering units were launched as part of the South-West Gissar project, the first phase of the Kandym Gas Processing Plant.

Officials of LUKOIL also proposed to organize a tour of opera singers and the Russian symphony orchestra in the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theater in Tashkent.
