President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Alexander Lukashenko inaugurated Amkodor-Agrotechmash joint venture, set up at the Tashkent plant of agricultural machineries.
The US$ 33 million project will be realized in 2018-2021. Phase I, which is officially commissioned today, provides for manufacture of construction and agricultural excavators of 12 brands. The degree of localization will be brought to 22 percent in 2019 and at least 50 percent in 2021.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev pointed to the need to expand the range and increase the level of localization of products and stressed that Uzbekistan has a convenient location for delivery of agricultural machineryies to the Central Asian countries.
The ceremony featured the demonstration of the first excavators, which descended from the conveyor of the joint venture.
