On May 23, 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel, Said Rustamov, met with Michal Levy Senior Vice President, Agriculture Innovation, Ministry of Agriculture of Israel.

The partıes discussed the ways to expand bilateral cooperation, primarily in terms of introducing advanced Israeli agrotechnologies and know-how in Uzbekistan, which allow to obtain high yıelds in a relatively short time and with less resources.

Michal Levy will be head the delegation of Israel, which will visit Uzbekistan on May 26-30 to establish partnership tıes.

The delegatıon ıs expected to include executıves of of more than 15 Israeli companies specıalızıng in micro-irrigation and water use, greenhouse farming, poultry farming, meat and dairy production, the development of high-performance solutions for cluster farms and other areas.

The delegation will also ınclude high-ranking offıcıal of the Israeli State Corporation for the Insurance of Foreign Trade Risks “ASHRA” - the agency responsible for attracting soft loans and financial lines of Israeli banks for the implementation by Israel companies of projects in foreign countries.

In the city of Bukhara, it is planned to organize an Uzbek-Israeli agribusiness forum with presentations, B2B meetings, as well as a visit to the Bukhoro-Agro free economic zone.

The visit of the Israeli delegation will be one of the largest bilateral economic events over the past few years.
