The world's largest company by market capitalization ever - Apple Distribution International Limited has registered in Uzbekistan as a VAT payer and paid US$ 59.2 thousand in tax to the Uzbek state budget in Q1, the State Tax Committee said.
As reported previously, on Jan. 1, 2020, into the Tax Code has been inserted the provision on payment of VAT by foreign companies that provide e-services in Uzbekistan.
The Tax Committee even designed a special website for VAT payment registration for such companies - www.tax.uz.
Earlier Google Commerce Limited paid VAT 85 thousand euros in Q1.
Also, Netflix International B.V., an American media-services provider and production company also paid 4.3 thousand euros of VAT to the budget of Uzbekistan.
