On October 12, Bukhara will host a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development said.
The Russian delegation will be headed by the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, the Uzbek delegation - by the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.
The second meeting of the joint commission at the level of the heads of government is also scheduled this year.
This year the upward trend in the two-way trade is continuing. According to the Russian media, the bilateral trade turnover for 7 months of 2020 showed an increase of 20% compared to 2019 and topped US$ 3.2 billion.
