The assembly of Chinese crossovers Dongfeng and Changan will be launched in Jizzakh city before 2024, as well as minibuses and trucks, the provinceial governor’s office said.
The design production capacity is 27 thousand vehicles per year. US$ 10.5 million of the US$ 16.2 million project are foreign direct investment and loans, and US$ 5.6 million are own funds from the Uzbek side.
The project will be implemented in Jizzakh free economic zone. At present, large-scale construction work has begun on the territory of the plant.
