The Uzbek Ambassador to Japan, Muhsin Abdurakhmanov, met with Tsuyoshi Nishitani, acting chairman of the Japan-Uzbekistan Economic Cooperation Committee, consultant of Itochu Corporation, Dunyo reported.

Tsuyoshi Nishitani noted that the Uzbek authorities were carrying out extensive work on the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Japan in 2019.

The consultant of Itochu Corporation stated that Japanese business leaders were very interested in implementing joint investment projects in Uzbekistan in the fields of agriculture, pharmaceuticals, mining industry, mechanical engineering, chemical industry and textile industry.

He added that the launching of lithium batteries production unit in Uzbekistan is currently being reviewed by the Japanese side.
