The Military Court sentenced 10 people charged of an Attempted murder of former deputy chief of the Presidential Administration Komil Allamjonov Wednesday, the press service of the Supreme Court said.

As per the ruling, Shukhrat Rasulov, who the former chief of the Internal Security Department of the Presidential State Security Service (2018-2020), has been handed 23 years of imprisonment.

The hitmen Javlon Yunusov has been sentenced to 18 years and 6 months, Shokhrukh Akhmedov - 23 years, Ismoil Jakhongirov - 23 years. While, Doniyor Tashkhodjaev (former first deputy chief of the Tashkent Police Department Internal Affairs Directorate) was given 7-year term.

The remaining 5 defendants have also been sentenced to imprisonment "in accordance with their actions." Their names were not disclosed.

On the same day, February 12, Komil Allamjonov published a post on his Telegram channel in which he said: “What I have been through over the past five months is known only to me, my family and those close to me.”

“Truth may bend, but will never break - it surfaced as you may witness. And will continue to surface,” he noted, adding that “there are still many things to do, many trials ahead.”

“May Allah grant that I go through all this with a bright face!” concluded Komil Allamjonov.
