Vehicle traffic in Tashkent will be temporarily and partially restricted from November 14 to 17, the Interior Ministry’s press service said today.
Reportedly, ingress into the capital will be restricted for trucks arriving from the provinces. Truck traffic in the central part of the city will be completely suspended.
Traffic from the Fergana Valley to the southern provinces and back will be routed along the D-012 highway, bypassing Tashkent.
Roads in the central part of the city will be temporarily closed during these days. According to the Ministry, bypass traffic will be organized along alternative routes for the convenience of road users.
On November 15, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the section from the intersection of Abdulla Kadiri Street and the Ganga Bridge to the intersection of Abdulla Kadiri, Karasaray, and Zarkaynar Streets will be closed. Drivers will be able to travel along Sebzar and Nurafshan Streets.
On the same day, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the section from the intersection of Abdulla Kadyri and Karasaray Streets along Karasaray Street to its intersection with Nurafshan Street will be closed. Drivers will be able to travel from Karasaray Street to the Small Ring Road, and from Nurafshan Street along Sebzar Street.
On November 16, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the section from the intersection of Islam Karimov and Batyr Zakirov Streets along Islam Karimov Street to the intersection of Islam Karimov and Furkat Streets will be periodically partially closed. Drivers can access Furkat Street via Batyr Zakirov, Alisher Navoi, Almazar, and Beshagach Streets.
From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Furkat Street will be closed from the intersection of Islam Karimov and Furkat Streets along the secondary road to Khadra Square. Drivers will be able to travel along Alisher Navoi and Islam Karimov Streets.
The Ministry apologized for any inconvenience.
As reported on November 16, Tashkent will host the 7th Central Asia Summit and Azerbaijan. While, the President of Kazakhstan will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan from November 14 to 16.
