Uzbek-Turkish ties are rapidly developing and have reached a qualitatively new level, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev told in his remarks following the 4th meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

“The council's talks, as well as joint humanitarian projects, are of historic significance."

"The meaningful talks held during the council meeting, the groundbreaking ceremony for an Uzbek school in Istanbul, and the handover ceremonies for an Uzbek neighborhood built in Hatay will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the history of our relations".

“Speaking about the spiritual closeness between two peoples Speaking, the popular saying comes to my mind: "When hearts are united, distances are shortened. Our language and our hearts are one. Our intentions also coincide."

"The similarity of our languages and our sacred religion means that no distance can separate the fraternal Turkish and Uzbek peoples."

“The parties had agreed to accelerate the development of bilateral relations. We agreed to place particular emphasis on accelerating the development of bilateral relations in all areas in 2026 and issued corresponding instructions in each area. Oversight of their implementation will be ensured".

“Furthermore, the parties decided to regularly hold meetings of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council and effectively utilize the mechanisms of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economics and the Strategic Planning Group, as well as to launch joint committees and a new dialogue format at the ministerial and regional levels.”

“Special attention will be paid to cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Plans call for theater and film weeks, exhibitions, and the use of religious tourism.”

"The construction of a first Uzbek school in Turkey is clear evidence that in recent years our relations in the field of education have reached a qualitatively new level. “The new school in Istanbul will create favorable conditions for educating the children of our fellow countryme in their native language."

“The parties had previously agreed to expand the Turkish School in Tashkent by allocating additional land.”

Speaking about the consequences of, Mirziyoyev noted the solidarity of the Uzbek people.

"After the devastating earthquake in Turkey, our people perceived the pain and suffering of the Turkish people as their own. Uzbek rescuers saved the lives of 18 people and provided assistance to thousands of victims.”

"I ask you to consider this complex, commissioned today, as a modest contribution from our historical homeland to the largest urban restoration program in the history of your country".

On January 29, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkey chaired the fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Ankara. They signed a decision on cooperation mechanisms within the framework of a comprehensive strategic partnership. A number of documents have been concluded between the governments and agencies.
