President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said projects aimed at improving living conditions are being implemented in every district of Karakalpakstan.

He noted that a modern resort has opened in Buzatau, an oncology and radiology center in Nukus, and a children's hospital and maternity hospital in Kungrad. Two 2,000-seat amphitheaters have been commissioned in Amudarya and Turtkul, along with a gymnastics center and a conservatory branch in Nukus.

With $384 million from the Asian Development Bank, a 240-kilometer section of the A-380 highway passing through Kungrad has been fully upgraded to concrete surfacing. Yesterday, construction began on another 92 kilometers of the road through Turtkul, Ellikkala and Beruniy. The project is worth $233 million.

As a result, transit traffic is expected to rise 1.5 times, and cargo entering Turtkul will reach the Kazakh border in 10 hours instead of a full day.

From March next year, a high-speed train will run between Tashkent and Nukus, cutting travel time from 16 hours to seven.

Reconstruction of the Tuyamuyin water treatment facility will begin, along with the laying of a 100-kilometer drinking water pipeline from Kungrad to Muynak.

Mirziyoyev noted that Karakalpakstan has land, mineral resources, solar and wind energy, and vast pastures. On this basis, a new industrial and investment map will be drawn up, covering the chain "from raw resource to finished product."

The Kungrad-Karauzyak-Takhiatash corridor will become Karakalpakstan's "green industrial corridor" and a "triangle of the smart economy."

Six projects worth $8 billion will be implemented in a special zone set up for artificial intelligence and data center projects.

Officials were instructed to draw up a five-year program by Oct. 1 and to ensure a stable power supply of 1 gigawatt for investors.

They were also tasked with creating 1,500 high-income jobs in Nukus, Kungrad, Karauzyak and Takhiatash within three years, and with raising annual exports in cloud technology and artificial intelligence to $600 million.
