Reports surfaced on social networks that a little girl was seriously injured due to the fault of her nanny. The Children's Ombudsperson's Office has studied the situation and taken it under control.

It turned out that a woman G. M.,36, living in Fergana, departed for Russia in August 2024 for work, handing over her toddler daughter G. I., 2, to be looked after by M. Kh., 36, on the basis of a legally executed power of attorney.

The mother regularly sent money to nanny M. Kh. for her services and for the child’s basic needs, the Children's Ombudsperson's Office noted.

On November 15, the toddler fell down the stairs in the house and sustained serious injuries. However, the report says, the nanny did not take her to the hospital, putting her health at risk.

The girl's mother, while in Russia, contacted the previous nanny and said that M.Kh. had stopped showing her the children via Telegram and asked her to visit them. When the woman saw the children, toddler she was seriously injured, and her six-year-old brother said that they had been subjected to cruel treatment.

The girl was diagnosed with a brain contusion and other life-threatening serious injuries.

Gairatjon Khotamov, a doctor at the Fergana branch of Emergency Medical Care Center, said that the child was in a serious, semi-conscious condition. The girl had a large tumor on her head, and her frontal bone was broken. She was placed in the pediatric intensive care unit.

"We removed about half a liter of stagnant blood from her head. There were clear signs of injury on her body and head," the doctor said.

According to the doctor, the girl's condition began to improve after the treatment.
