Uzbek Ambassador to Pakistan Alisher Tukhtayev said that the two-way trade between the two countries could reach $1 billion in the coming years, Minute Mirror said.
He underscored that the current trend is positive, with the trade increasing from $122 million in 2019, to $387 million in 2023.
In addition, Tukhtayev spoke about the soon launch of Tashkent to Lahore direct flights and noted promising areas for investment, including textiles, pharmaceuticals, food industry and agriculture. He called on Pakistani businesses to invest more actively in these areas.
