15 Uzbek nationals who were suspected of participating in a street brawl in Dubai have been arrested, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement today.

Earlier, reports surfaced on social media that one person died from a knife wound and another fell into coma after a clash between two gangs consisting of Uzbeks.

To clarify this information, Uzbek diplomats met with the leadership of the Dubai Criminal Investigation Department. They reported that investigative actions are underway on this incident.

The department also noted that "a recent increase in the number of cases of violation of UAE laws by Uzbek nationals may affect the visa-free regime between the two countries."

The Uzbek Foreign Ministry is cooperating with the relevant law enforcement agencies on this situation.

We ask Uzbek nationals abroad to abstain from actions that discredit the honor of our fellow countrymen, the Foreign Ministry urged.

Last November, Uzbek hitmen murdered an Israeli rabbi in Dubai, which prompted the Abu Dhabi authorities to ban a large number of male nationals of Uzbekistan from entering the country, sending them back.
