“Uzbekistan hosted a number of major international events, in particular, the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the session of the UNESCO General Conference, the Central Asia-European Union summit, and the international Climate Forum.”

“In regional cooperation - in March, at the tripartite meeting of the leaders of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan in Khujand, a historic agreement was signed for the first time on the point of contact of the state borders of the three countries, which culminated in the signing of a Declaration on Eternal Friendship.”

“Also, at the Central Asia Summit in Tashkent, the idea of ​​​​creating a strategic format of the Central Asian Community was put forward to take integration processes to a new level. The decision to accept Azerbaijan as a full member of the Central Asian format was highly valued. This step will serve to strengthen strategic ties and stability between Central Asia and the South Caucasus.”

“Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement was signed between Uzbekistan and the European Union in Brussels in October. The Central Asia-US summit in November serves to bring multilateral cooperation to a new level. Also, the meeting of the leaders of Central Asia and Japan in Tokyo resulted in important agreements on education, medicine, digital technologies, infrastructure and industry, and the meeting with the leaders of the CIS in St. Petersburg outlined new directions for cooperation.”
