On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the Embassy of India with the support of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and National Film Development Corporation of India, and in cooperation with the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan, is organizing the 2nd edition of women-centric Indian Film Festival ‘Sashakt Nari-Celebrating Womanhood’ from March 13-15, 2026 showcasing popular Indian films with women in lead roles overcoming challenges and adversities through courage and resilience. Film screenings will be held at the Palace of National Cinematic Art (Panorama Cinema Palace), Alisher Navoiy 15, Tashkent.

Admission is free, and films will have both Uzbek & English subtitles.
