Ahead of the 5th edition of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted a delegation of major companies from the United States.
The meeting was attended by John Jovanovic, President and Chairman of the U.S. Exim Bank; Ben Black, Chief Executive Officer of the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC); Carolyn Lamm, Chairperson of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce; as well as top executives from major corporations including Air Products, Cove Capital, Templeton Global Investments, Boeing, 77 Construction, BlackRock, FLS, Visa, JPMorgan, Meta, GULF, and many others.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted with satisfaction that this meeting continues an excellent tradition, reflecting the growing interest among American businesses to expand their footprint in Uzbekistan.
He emphasized that the economic agenda serves as one of the core pillars supporting the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
In this context, the Uzbek leader outlined several key directions aimed at further deepening trade and economic cooperation between the two nations.
Particular focus was placed on advancing concrete projects in the extraction and processing of critical minerals, as well as in the fields of energy, metallurgy, finance, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and numerous other sectors.
Expressing their gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for creating favorable conditions that enable investors to operate productively, the executives of the leading American companies shared their specific proposals and future plans.
The roundtable concluded with an official ceremony for the exchange of bilateral agreements signed with the leading U.S. companies.
