Uzbekistan is set to experience mostly dry weather this Friday and over the weekend, according to Uzhydromet. However, brief afternoon showers and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out in isolated parts of the Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya provinces, as well as the Fergana Valley.
Daytime temperatures in the central and eastern provinces will hover between +31°C and +34°C, while southern areas will see highs reaching +37°C to +40°C. Forecasters note that these conditions remain well within the seasonal norms for the second half of June.
Meanwhile, a gradual warming trend will impact the northwestern provinces and desert zones, with temperatures expected to climb to +39°C to +42°C by Sunday afternoon.
Winds will average 7–12 m/s, with localized gusts reaching up to 13–18 m/s, potentially causing blowing dust in some areas.
In the foothills and mountainous zones, intermittent short-lived showers and thunderstorms are anticipated. Residents in these areas are advised that mudflows and flash floods remain a possibility.
Tashkent Weather Outlook (June 19–21)
The capital may see brief afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Daytime highs will remain steady between +31°C and +34°C. Easterly winds will blow at 3–8 m/s, occasionally gusting to 12–15 m/s, which could bring localized blowing dust to some parts of the city.
