Two young boys have drowned in the Bozsu Canal in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent province, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.
The tragedy occurred on June 17, when the boys, aged 10 and 8, fell into the canal running near their home.
Four days later, on June 21, rescue divers from the Tashkent Province Emergency Department recovered the body of one of the children. The search operation for the second child is currently ongoing.
