During a meeting held on Youth Day, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that countries today are competing through human capital, knowledge, and technologies. He called upon the youth of Uzbekistan to become the driving force behind laying the foundation for the Third Renaissance in New Uzbekistan.

The President stressed that from the very first days of reforms in the country, supporting young people and helping them realize their dreams and aspirations has been established as a top priority of state policy.

It was noted that the role of youth leaders has been introduced in every neighborhood, the life experience of elders is being widely utilized in youth upbringing, and every Thursday has been declared "Youth Day," mobilizing all government agencies to resolve issues faced by young people.

Highlighting the achievements of recent years, the Head of State noted that the problems of 1.5 million young citizens have been resolved through the "Youth Ledger" system, while the number of young entrepreneurs has quintupled, exceeding 287,000. Additionally, the number of young people learning foreign languages has reached 3.5 million, talented students have won 434 medals at international science olympiads, and young athletes have secured 2,245 medals in international competitions.

While the President pointed out that youth crime has dropped 2.5-fold over the past two years, he emphasized that many tasks still lie ahead. In this regard, ministers, governors, university rectors, and directors of technical colleges and schools were directed to systematically address the problems and needs of the youth.

Concluding the meeting, the President underscored that knowledge, science, and innovation have become the decisive factors in the modern world, and addressed the youth: "Just as our ancestors accomplished monumental feats for human progress, you must be the force that creates the foundation for a new era of awakening—the Third Renaissance in New Uzbekistan."
