The Minister of Health, Eldor Odilov, has issued an address to healthcare professionals and the public, emphasizing that fighting corruption with zero tolerance, strengthening internal oversight, and implementing digital monitoring mechanisms will be the ministry's top priorities.

In his address, Minister Odilov noted that corruption poses a grave threat to national development and declared that the resolute fight against this vice remains one of the most critical objectives for the healthcare sector.

According to the minister, the ministry is currently undergoing a structural reorganization in line with a presidential decree issued on May 5, 2026. The central apparatus is being staffed with highly qualified personnel who bring a modern approach to the sector. Additionally, a new Deputy Minister position specifically dedicated to anti-corruption and compliance has been established, and the internal audit system has been expanded.

It was also reported that during the first five months of 2026, the ministry utilized the masofaviyaudit.uz digital platform to catch financial irregularities early. This remote auditing system successfully identified and resolved 979 cases of financial errors and discrepancies, totaling 514.9 billion soums.

Furthermore, the minister highlighted the launch of a "Mystery Shopper" program specifically designed to eradicate illicit financial demands extorted from pregnant women and their families at maternity wards.

According to the minister, a pilot phase of the "Digital Compliance" software suite will go live on July 1, 2026. Internal anti-corruption oversight will be completely digitalized via the E-Komplaens electronic module. Looking ahead, the ministry plans to integrate artificial intelligence technologies to proactively detect and mitigate corruption risks before they occur.

Eldor Odilov urged citizens to report any instances of corruption, conflicts of interest, bureaucratic bottlenecks, or illegal fees within the healthcare network.
