In a joint operation conducted by the Tashkent Department of the State Security Service and the Tashkent City Police Department, foreign nationals running a drug trafficking ring were exposed and apprehended.
Officials reported that on June 12 of this year, three Ukrainian citizens—born in 1994, 1997, and 2001—arrived in Uzbekistan. Following their arrival, law enforcement officers, in the presence of independent witnesses, searched two apartments where the suspects were temporarily residing in the Yashnabad district.
The search uncovered narcotics that the individuals had prepared for distribution across various parts of the capital using the "dead drop" (hidden stash) method. The seized illicit substances included hashish, mephedrone, and Alpha-PVP, with a total weight of 1 kilogram and 945 grams.
Additionally, authorities confiscated another 460 grams of mephedrone and Alpha-PVP as physical evidence. These drugs had been left in a secret cache by the operators of an online narcotics store for the suspects to repackage and distribute later.
A criminal case has been launched against the suspects under the clause "a" of Part 6, Article 273 of the Criminal Code. The individuals have been remanded in custody as a precautionary measure while the investigation continues.
