Total of 35,401 foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan for medical treatment during the first half of 2026 (January–June), the National Statistics Committee said in a report.
The statistics reveal that Tajikistan accounted for the highest number of medical tourists, with 19,096 Tajik nationals traveling to Uzbekistan for healthcare services.
Other leading countries of origin included Kyrgyzstan with 9,552 visitors, Kazakhstan with 4,582, Afghanistan with 1,280, and Russia with 772. An additional 119 medical tourists arrived from various other nations.
These figures underscore the growing interest in Uzbekistan's medical tourism sector and highlight the country's rising status as a prominent regional healthcare hub for neighboring populations.
