Road traffic accidents across the country left 3,306 people injured during the first six months of this year, the National Statistics Committee said in a report.

A provinceal breakdown shows that Tashkent city recorded the highest number of incidents, with 420 traffic accidents. It is followed by Samarkand province with 311 cases, Tashkent province with 271, Fergana province with 218, and Namangan province with 196.

Furthermore, the data highlights 160 traffic accidents in Andijan province, 135 in Kashkadarya province, 120 in Surkhandarya province, 114 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 85 in Khorezm province, 83 in Navoi province, 75 in Jizzakh province, and 50 in Syrdarya province.

Bukhara province recorded the lowest figure in the country, with 48 traffic accidents reported during the first half of the year.
