The Shaykhantakhur District Criminal Court in Tashkent has handed down a verdict against Mubin Mirzaev, the former First Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee, alongside nine co-defendants, the press service of the Tashkent City Courts said.
The court found Mubin Mirzaev guilty of committing crimes under the following provisions of the Criminal Code:
- Article 168, Part 4, clause "a": Fraud
- Article 205, Part 2, clause "a": Abuse of Power or Official Authority
- Article 208: Inaction of Authority (Failure to Exercise Official Power)
He was sentenced to 8 years and 2 months in prison, combined with a three-year disqualification from holding certain positions.
The remaining nine defendants—a group that includes several individuals with extensive criminal records—were convicted under various relevant sections of the Criminal Code, including:
- Article 141-2: Violation of Personal Data Legislation
- Article 184: Tax Evasion
- Article 189: Violation of Trade or Service Regulations
- Article 228: Forgery, Manufacture, Sale, or Use of Counterfeit Documents, Stamps, Seals, and Official Letterheads
Their sentences range from 4 to 9 years of imprisonment. Additionally, the court ordered the full recovery of all financial damages caused by the defendants.
