A new hotline, accessible via the short code 1246, has been launched to report incidents that threaten the lives and health of children.
"Every child has the right to grow up in a safe, loving environment. If you witness violence, neglect, or any situation threatening a child's life or health, it is vital that you report it," stated the National Agency for Social Protection.
The agency emphasized that the identity of all callers will be kept strictly confidential.
The hotline is available to report the following situations:
Physical, psychological, or sexual violence against a child, neglect, cruel treatment, and any other circumstances endangering a child's life or health.
According to the official announcement, the 1246 hotline is currently operating in a pilot phase.
