Reports have surfaced on social media indicating that a five-year-old girl tragically drowned at the artificial beach at the Tashkent's National Park Wednesday.
Eyewitnesses at the location corroborated the accounts, verifying that the drowning did indeed take place.
Park administrators stated that they do not hold the authority to comment on the incident. Furthermore, relevant government agencies and oversight bodies have yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.
According to figures provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 111 individuals have lost their lives to drowning across Uzbekistan during the first six months of 2026.
