An open discussion of the new Real Estate Agency Activities Law was held in the main hall of the Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP), organized jointly by the party and the Chamber of Realtors of Uzbekistan. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law on August 7, and it is set to take effect on November 8, 2026.
The event brought together representatives of the Legislative Chamber, the Ministry of Justice, the Agency for State Assets Management, the Agency for Cadastre, and the Chamber of Realtors of Uzbekistan, alongside heads of real estate agencies, practicing realtors, and representatives from banks, notary offices and property developers.
Participants were briefed on the law's key provisions, including new qualification requirements for real estate professionals, the timeline for transitioning to the new rules, and practical questions around how the legislation will be applied.
The open format allowed participants to receive official clarifications directly from government agency representatives and to discuss the future development of the real estate market under the new legal framework.
