Three people were injured in a fire that broke out at a fuel storage facility belonging to the Bukhara Oil Refinery, the Emergency Situations Ministry reported.
According to the ministry, an emergency call came in through the 112 system at 10:30 a.m. on September 15, reporting a fire in one of the storage tanks at the Qorovulbozor petroleum products storage facility, located in the Cholquvar neighborhood of Qorovulbozor district, Bukhara province.
Rescue teams responded swiftly, bringing the fire under control by 11:18 a.m. Fourteen rescue units were deployed to contain the blaze.
Preliminary reports indicate that one of the facility's fuel storage tanks was destroyed in the fire. Three people sustained burns of varying severity and were hospitalized at the Qorako'l district medical association.
The cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage are still being determined.
Senior officials from the province's Emergency Situations Ministry, Internal Affairs Department and Health Department, along with personnel from partner agencies, were dispatched to the scene.
