Azerbaijan will host joint military exercises, Strength in Unity 2026, involving troops from Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.
The drills will be held in three stages at the Kyzylkaya training center in the Karabakh economic district, the Karabaglar training center in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Buyuk Zira range in Azerbaijani territorial waters of the Caspian Sea.
Troops, military equipment, naval vessels, aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles will take part. The stated aims are to improve readiness for joint operations, strengthen coordination between units, standardize training procedures and develop new combat capabilities.
The ministry said Turkish troops and aircraft have already arrived in the country for the exercises. It did not specify when the drills will begin or end.
