Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan from October 7–9 to attend the eighth Central Asia-Azerbaijan Summit, and the CIS Summit in Avaza National Tourist Zone.

The agenda of the Central Asia-Azerbaijan Summit includes further strengthening political and diplomatic cooperation, deepening trade and economic ties, expanding partnerships in the energy sector, and implementing joint measures on environmental protection and climate change adaptation. It will also cover the development of relations in culture, education, science, and youth initiatives.

Furthermore, the leader are expected to exchange of views on urgent issues of regional and international significance, alongside priority tasks for ensuring peace, stability, and security.

During the CIS Summit, the leaders will review the outcomes of multilateral cooperation within the Commonwealth and discuss prospects for its further development. Special attention will be paid to celebrating the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the CIS. A package of joint documents is expected to be adopted at the conclusion of the events.

In accordance with the visit program, a series of bilateral meetings are also scheduled.

The seventh Central Asia + Azerbaijan Summit took place in Tashkent in November 2025.
