Information that Uzbek businessman and ANORBANK shareholder Qahramonjon Olimov is on an international wanted list is no longer visible on Interpol’s website.

ANORBANK had earlier said that circumstances involving a shareholder “do not determine the bank’s day-to-day operations or financial stability.”

The bank said it is operating as normal, with deposit, loan and payment operations continuing without interruption and all of the Central Bank’s prudential requirements being met.

On Oct. 5, a general meeting of shareholders approved the issue of additional shares worth 100 billion soums to attract new investment.

Yesterday, ANORBANK published its third-quarter financial report. Its assets rose from 18.74 trillion soums to 20.32 trillion soums during the quarter, the report showed.

As of the end of September, the bank’s loan portfolio stood at 13.08 trillion soums, equity at 1.51 trillion soums and customer deposits at 15.23 trillion soums.
