Tashkent will begin supplying heat in stages from Nov. 9, the city administration’s press service said, after Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov signed a decision opening the 2026-2027 heating season.

Schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other social facilities will be connected first, followed by apartment blocks, the press service said.

Residents will be charged for heating from the date of actual connection, the administration said. The date will be recorded in a bilateral act signed by the management company.

Residents whose apartments are heated unevenly should contact their management company or homeowners’ association, it said.

For emergencies on the heating networks, residents can contact Veolia Energy Tashkent. Its call center can be reached on 1347 or 71-200-00-56, and its Telegram bot, @vet_pokazaniya_bot, operates around the clock.

The start of heating coincides with a forecast change in the weather. Uzhydromet, the weather service, said a sharp shift is expected on Nov. 9 in northern areas and on Nov. 10-12 across the rest of Uzbekistan. Rain, heavy in places, is forecast.

Nighttime temperatures are expected to fall to 0 to plus 5 degrees Celsius, and to minus 2 to minus 7 in the north. Daytime temperatures are forecast at plus 7 to plus 12.
