Uzbekistan will ban the import of low energy efficiency household appliances. This is provided for by the September 9 presidential Decree.
The Decree amends the 2019 August 22 presidential decree, which prohibits the import into the territory of Uzbekistan of used generating equipment, power step-down transformers, electric motors, as well as energy-consuming equipment of energy efficiency category D from September 1, 2019. С 1 January 2022, the import of energy-intensive household appliances of efficiency category D is prohibited.
