The meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held November 1–2 in Tashkent.

Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom signed a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) on Thursday in Tashkent, which will ensure the continuity of bilateral relations if the UK ceases to participate in the PCA between Uzbekistan and the European Union due to the possible Brexit without a deal, the UK Embassy to Uzbekistan said.

On November 1-2, 2019, the Chinese government delegation led by the Prime Minister Li Keqiang will travel to Uzbekistan.

On October 30 was held the sixth round of Uzbek-Swiss political consultations between Foreign Ministries. The Uzbekistan delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister, Dilshod Akhatov, and the Swiss delegation was headed by Deputy State Secretary of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Krystyna Marty Lang.

The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan. Nikolai Patrushev will visit Tashkent on October 31 and attend the consultations between the security councils offices.

On October 29, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Science and Scientific Activities Bill into Law. The document was passed by the Legislative Chamber on July 22 and was approved by the Senate on October 11.

The five-year campaign “Plant a Million Garden Trees” was launched on Friday in Nukus, which will cover Karakalpakstan, Bukhara and Kashkadarya provinces.
