The Former Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Otabek Murodov has been taken into custody, a source in the government told the Tashkent Times.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassadors of Afghanistan, India, Britain, Japan and France, the presidential press service said.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed decree on September 20 declassifying the archival files of before 1917 stored in state archives. The decree takes the Uzarhiv Agency out of the Cabinet of Ministers to set up a separate Uzarhiv Agency. The Agency, together with the State Security Service, shall take measures to declassify these documents by June 1, 2020.
