On October 31 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) in matchday 3 of the qualification tournament for 2017 AFC Women’s Championships U-19 China, Uzbekistan beat Chinese Taipei - 1:0.
The only goal of the match was scored from penalty 27 minutes into the game by Maftuna Pandzhieva.
Following this win Uzbekistan won the Group B with 9 points and qualified for the AFC Women’s Championships U-19 which will be held in China in 2017.
The matches in Groups A, C, and D are yet to begin. The group winners will join Uzbekistan and the four best teams of the last continental championship - Japan, North Korea, South Korea and China for the championships in August 2017.
