Cabinet of Ministers issued a Resolution on December 27 adding the Sijjak resort to the list of resorts and children's recreation centers of the Trade Unions Federation.
This resort center is located in Sijjak area of Bostonlyk district, Tashkent province and belonged to Gulnara Karimova, the daughter of the late president Islam Karimov. The resort was confiscated on February 10, 2017 by a ruling of the Tashkent province criminal court. At first, it was handed over to the Triathlon Federation for temporary use. Afterwards it was put up for sale at auction.
The resort on 5.38 hectares and valued at 70 billion soums, was put up for sale several times in 2021-2022, but was not sold.
According to the June 14, 2023 presidential decree, the Sijjak resort was removed from the privatization list.
