President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today held talks with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit.
The leaders reviewed progress on agreements reached at the highest level and agreed to expand projects further in trade and the economy, investment, and the social and humanitarian fields.
They also exchanged views on current global and regional issues.
At the start of the talks, the two noted with satisfaction that active top-level contacts and systematic work have raised relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar to the level of a strategic partnership. They said such close ties help further strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
