President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with agriculture projects in Tashkent province Saturday. An agrologistical center, set up by LLC Greenfoodtrade, will carry out storage, processing and exports of agricultural products. The project, which will achieve full capacity in Q3 of 2018, will increase exports from Uzbekistan, ensure uninterrupted supply of agricultural products to the domestic market, rational use of land, create new jobs.

The 40 hectare complex will host 5 cross-dockings, a hypermarket, a warehouse for sorting and storing agricultural products, a 10,000 ton capacity refrigerator and a 150 room hotel.

The President was also presented other projects.

Another Agrologistical Center in the Kibray district will host processing lines for drying and packing fruits and vegetables, processing agricultural products, a greenhouse, a cold storage facility. In the center, which will be commissioned in the first half of 2018, it is planned to create about 500 jobs.

Presentation of monitoring results of agricultural lands of the province was held. With the help of a quadrocopter, measurements of the area and aerial photography of the land were conducted, and the data received were entered into an electronic database. The results of measurements made from an AN-2 and a quadrocopter ere compared. It has been established that it took 20 hours to study 100 hectares of land using an airplane, whereasusing a quadrocopter for the same scope of work, it took only 4 hours. In addition, comparative figures of crop treatment by a agrodrone, VHF sprayer and airplane were presented.

Such modern devices are of great importance for agriculture, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. If we care about the future of agriculture, we must quickly shift to modern methods of work. It is necessary to pay special attention to the development of drones production, to set up a joint venture for these purposes.
